The ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION need no introduction as a band on the cutting edge of musical fusion, where rap meets rock meets drumn'n'bass meets bhangra meets dub meets dhol drumming - and their acclaimed Soundsystem does it all to the best dance beats on the planet. The ADF are, of course, on the cultural cutting edge too, challenging stereotypes, fighting the power and giving us food for thought with the heady rhythms of rebellion. This is one big dub night! LOVE GROCER is the amazing dub reggae band formed by the Crispy Horns, Zion Train's longstanding brass section who've played with everyone from Steel Pulse, Horace Andy, the Mad Professor, Morcheeba and Dreadzone to the Bluetones! The aclaimed six-piece combine conscious lyrics and tosting with great rhythms, fat horns and a melodic dub sound honed from years of working with the best. They are joined by DUBBLEHEAD featuring Tom Brooks from the Ozrics and Nigel Shaw from Global, who's stunning world dub thrilled a packed auditorium when supporting Misty in Roots at Exeter Respect 2005. DIBDUB and DJ RADIO BUSH TELEGRAPH and DJ AMBIESSENCE complete the line-up for the biggest dub night in town. |

We present not one but two different sets from the legendary EAT STATIC! Their DENDRON breakbeat project was unveiled in a stunning performance at The Glade Festival earlier this year and now they're bringing it to Exeter for an exclusive show. Expect full-on breakbeat mayhem merged with an ultra-exotic Middle Eastern vibe and swirling keyboards. Then it's time for the usual alien encounters, sublime samples, and banging tunes with a full-on, full-length Static set to round off the night and take you screaming and kick-drumming into the future! Live support comes from SUNFISH and SPATIALIZE in the auditorium with G-FORCE in the bar, plus FSOE DJs in all areas. |

BEAUTIFUL DAYS FESTIVAL
We are proud to be hosting the Friday night in the Little Big Top dance stage at this fantastic festival. Now in it's third year and already increasing in size and expanding to 3 days, Beautiful Days is a non-commercial event lovingly put together by The Levellers which combines an eclectic, high quality music line-up with lots of family-friendly 'happenings' all set in splendid Devon countryside.
FSOE are running the Little Big Top on Friday 19 August from 9pm-2am with an awesome line-up: DJ MIKE JAMES; SUNFISH Live; DJ AMBIESSENCE; EAT STATIC live; DJ BOSTIN POWERS; N-TROPIC live and DJ SOULSONIC SPIN.

Exeter Respect Festival lasts from Sunday 26 June to Sunday 3 July: a week of events and activities promoting multiculturalism, fighting racism and valuing diversity. For the past two years the highlight of Respect Week has been an amazing world music show at the Phoenix.
On Saturday 2 July you can enjoy free multicultural entertainment all day followed by our annual world music celebration, with the following line-up:
Auditorium: MISTY IN ROOTS - one of the UK's biggest reggae bands; DUBBLEHEAD - Nigel Shaw from Global and Tom Brooks from the Ozrics present a special dub set featuring excerpts from Nigel's acclaimed 'Ancestors' CD for the Survival Trust preserving tribal culture; KAGEMUSHA TAIKO - opening ceremony; STREET HEAT - thirty piece samba band; DJ AMBIESSENCE & DJ RADIO BUSH TELEGRAPH.

The two Hartnoll brothers helped change the face of dance music forever as the seminal Orbital. Richard will be playing classics from Camel, Hatfield & the North and, of course, Caravan.

Rockin' the Phoenix with tunes from their new album Encantado, trance pioneers SYSTEM 7 were amongst the first dance acts to bring live techno to the masses. Expect to be blown away on a wave of psychedelic loops'n'grooves from synth player Miquette Giraudy, drenched with the truly legendary Steve Hillage's spaced-out, kaleidoscopic guitar swirls.
